  1. I found the Cliff link to be largely off-base. Just to name one title: who are all these white guys fawning over “Marley and Me”? Is this some stereotype I’ve missed? My ex-wife owned far more of those books than I did; I scored a rather pathetic 5 out of 80. I do believe that bars me from ever joining a country club…

  2. I think the Cliff article (which I believe has other authors as well) is intended to be a joke, and to prompt exactly the sort of questions you bring up. That’s my take, anyway.
