  1. Thanks, AB!

I feel ashamed that I missed the She-Hulk cover.

I’m pretty sure the Jimmy Olsen/gorilla cover was on the Superdickery.com site, which may have been where you saw it. In any case, I hear that’s the plot of the Man of Steel sequel.

  2. Arg! Another good one that I missed! Though I’m not a fan of Mantis. I think I may have blocked the “Celestial Madonna” storyline from my memory.

  3. Hmmm, you know, looking closer at these — there’s an alarming preponderance of imaginary stories/dreams/nuptiae interruptae; and, of the superhero weddings that did “actually” happen, I think most were later annulled by death or retcon.

I guess what I’m saying, Richard, is: don’t sell your marriage to the devil in order to save your elderly aunt, and don’t caught by any Superboy continuity punches.

  4. Buzz – That’s another good one, though I had to restrain myself from posting all the fake/imaginary weddings, otherwise this post would just be Silver Age Superman.

Jones – I think my marriage will survive. There’s no hardcore fanbase demanding that I return my to younger, wilder days.

  5. Oh I also forgot to say: Richard! Congratulations! Yay!

Vision and Scarlet Witch is so awesome. But it’s also part of this hilarious time in Marvel when all the Gods and stuff were talking in really bad fake-Shakespearean dialogue, sort of like the dialogue in a cut scene from a JRPG or something.

Um, but then it turns out Scarlet Witch is Magneto’s daughter? And was raised by cow-people on top of a mountain in Greece? And also that Magneto is so powerful he can kill people by ripping the iron OUT OF THEIR BLOOD? And so Magneto interrogates one of the cow people and screams something like ANSWER ME! THE IRON IN YOUR BLOOD COMPELS YOU!!!
